What I Do: The Library Director is responsible for the management of Fuller’s library collection, staff, and the provision of library services to patrons and others a part of Fuller’s campus community. Duties include policy recommendation, departmental planning, and direction and administration of library activities. The position is also makes the most important library technical decisions, and has thorough knowledge, skill and ability in every aspect of the Fuller library.
What I Do: The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Library Director, and is responsible for all administrative support activities, as well as accounts payable and receivable for the library.
What I Do: The Project Assistant works with several departments under the Library Director. Responsibilities include processing book donations, helping to field archival requests, and assisting with cataloging, circulation management, and library administration tasks as needed.
Archives and Special Collections
What I Do: The Archives & Special Collections Librarian ensures the effective appraisal, acquisition, arrangement, description, and preservation of born-digital and hybrid collections, facilitates the digitization of archives and library materials, and enables access to digital holdings and description. Also, to provide access to research materials in a digital environment for topics related to theology, intercultural studies, and psychology.
What I Do: The Copyright, eReserves and ILLiad Manager works with a small team of people who distribute library materials to faculty and students near and far. Fuller Library’s eReserves team digitizes academic works and negotiates with publishers for the rights to distribute them as course materials; the ILL team manages the borrowing and loaning of materials from fellow libraries to our patrons.
What I Do: The ILLiad (InterLibrary Loan) Coordinator fulfills requests sent through ILLiad, which includes borrowing from other institutions and other institutions borrowing from Fuller Library.
What I Do: I work closely with the Alternative Lending Manager to fulfill Reserves requests by faculty, in both digital and print formats.
What I Do: The Research Librarian & Korean Studies Specialist serves at one of the Information Access Services desks, provide bibliographic resource guide for students, faculty, and other patrons, including teaching the use of digital library resources. What I Do: The Research Librarian & Community Outreach Specialist serves at one of the Information Access Services desks, provide bibliographic resource guide for students, faculty, and other patrons, including teaching the use of digital library resources. The Librarian Community Outreach Specialist also works with the Head of Electronic Services to develop, plan, promote, coordinate, execute, and participate in programs and events for the diverse patrons of Fuller Theological Seminary at the David Allan Hubbard Library. What I Do: The Electronic Resources Librarian provides leadership and customer service for the library’s technical support of its information systems, including website and social media, to ensure a seamless and accessible information discovery and delivery environment to Fuller library’s patrons, as well as promote a positive digital presence online, and also deals with the research, trials, and purchases of eMaterials (eBooks, eJournals, etc.).
Public Services & Information Commons
What I Do: The Manager of Library Public Services is responsible for managing Fuller patron access to library resources and services. These include managing public spaces in the library; circulation staff and processes; reserve collection processes; and interdepartmental projects. Uses social media and website to update Fuller’s campus communities of current issues and their resolution.
What I Do: The FT Circulation Assistant provides support for Fuller’s Information Commons, assist patrons at the Circulation Desk, and provide support for the Public Services Librarian and Information Commons Coordinator.
What I Do: The Reserves Specialist & Circulation Assistant provides support for Fuller’s Information Commons, assist patrons at the Circulation Desk, provide support for the Public Services Librarian and Information Commons Coordinator, as well as being responsible for processing quarterly reserves from Fuller Faculty.
What I Do: The Head Cataloging Librarian supervises all cataloging, execute original and copy cataloging. A key objective is to facilitate excellent library experiences for users by creating and supporting seamless access to library resources and collections.
What I Do: The Collection Development and Acquisitions Librarian provides leadership and guidance in coordinating the direction and balance of library collections for the Fuller Libraries by serving as a bibliographic expert and materials procurer, and deals with the research and purchase of print materials.
What I Do: The Serials & Periodicals Coordinators works mostly with Fuller’s print periodicals such as check in and shelve periodicals, request periodicals from the ATLA exchange, and prepare and ship periodicals to the bindery.
What I Do: The Assistant Cataloger works closely with the Head Cataloging Librarian and the Korean Language Cataloging Assistant to catalog newly acquired print materials.
What I Do: The Korean Language Cataloging Assistant works closely with the Head Cataloging Librarian and the Assistant Cataloger by cataloging print materials.
