This Brill Reference database presents a complete Hebrew transcription and English translation of the DSS non-biblical text, together with high-resolution images that can now be used side by side. Based on the DSS Electronic Library CD-ROM (published by Brill and Brigham Young University, 2006) the database contains all known DSS non-biblical texts (from Qumran) as of September 2005.

This includes every statute passed by every colony and state on slavery, every federal statute dealing with slavery, and all reported state and federal cases on slavery. Cases go into the 20th century, because long after slavery was ended, there were still court cases based on issues emanating from slavery.
